Nicole and Keira, the ladies behind DOBRY DEN (Surry Hills) frequently make the trans-continental quest to deliver us with the finest global wares. Their latest love: April77- a French label that ‘makes clothes you can listen to (or is it tunes you can wear?)’...

April77 is a music-label-come-fashion-label who impart their adoration for rock legends and beat poetry directly into a fashion range. The result is a cult range of unisex denim and sharp tailoring where everything from style names to the finished product blares rock and roll (See image: The Siouxsie Tshirt, The Decontrol Motorcycle jacket, The JailBreak Drill Pant).

The collaboration with their record label comes in the form of a trademark guitar pick affixed to the fifth pocket of each pair of jeans. Then to top it off, from each item swings a little 7” record tag with a scratch-it panel that reveals a secret code entitling you to a free MP3 single from their band of the month.

Having collaborated with the likes of The Rolling Stones, Iggy Pop, The Bravery, Slash, Franz Ferdinand, The Horrors, Klaxons, Pete Doherty, Buzzcocks, The Kills and Black Lips, the fine Frenchies at April77 are onto something. Stocked exclusively at DOBRY DEN, shimmy in for your pick.
