Just Opened

misschu underground

THE ESSENCE: With the misschu empire continuing to grow, it's now suit-clad CBD workers who are lucky enough to have a new modern Vietnamese tuck-shop on their doorstep.

THE FACTS: With each new venture misschu opens comes a new specialty. At her new location, across from Town Hall, the Queen of Rice Paper Rolls has once again expanded her repertoire. Peking duck pancakes, steamed dumplings and the famed spring rolls are still listed on her ‘tick-the-box’ tuck-shop menu. However, now the choice is made more difficult with further options from her crêperie and potato ghetto. Toying with the humble baked spud, misschu’s potato ghetto provides toppings of caramelised pork belly, Chinese sausage with tomato and snow pea stew or combination pork knuckle and choko soup. If you’re feeling inspired by the richly flavoured broth or the herb filled rolls you’ve feasted on – buy some fare from the mini Asian grocery on site.

THE FINDS: Prawn and Crab new spring roll salad.
